Our Instagram page
@father_son_golf all started as a little Instagram page back in 2017. It was never intended to reach 1000’s of people, however our golfing exploits are now followed by over 45,000 people from all over the world.
We are proud of the page and enjoy putting out daily content / stories for our audience to enjoy. Our content concentrates on the journey and our ‘up’s and down’s’ whilst playing golf; let’s face it, there are many. We also create content around these experiences which shows us playing golf holes, practicing with purpose and of course, our favourite ‘Father Vs Son’ games.
We have developed some excellent working relationships with brand partners and love nothing more than testing new golf equipment/clothing, playing new golf courses and experimenting with the latest training aids.
FSG have a loyal audience who interact and support our journey in just the most amazing way. The page currently reaches 300,000+ accounts and accumulates approximately 2,000,000 impressions per week.
If you want to contribute to our journey by either playing us or becoming part of #teamFSG then get in touch, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Andy Banks
Dad (Andy) currently serves in the Royal Air Force. He is a Physical Training Instructor and has specialised as a Parachute Jumping Instructor. I currently manage Physical Education and Human Performance at RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire.
He is a self diagnosed golf addict and has managed to get his handicap index (HI) down to 2.0. He came across golf at the age of 11/12 during the rise of the GOAT, Tiger Woods. Although he loved golf, he was always better at Rugby. This was his main sport until retiring from the game after beating the Barbarians playing for the Combined Services in 2009. Golf filled the gap and soon became an obsession, as it does for many of us!!!! He started taking the game more seriously in 2014 which was when Riley (son) started picking up a club. The rest is history.
Dads greatest golf accomplishment was winning the RAF South West Championships by 3 shots at Pyle & Kenfig G.C. (Wales) and also representing the RAF Golf Squad in 2019.
His golf goals are to keep playing and enjoying the game, it’s as simple as that. Although he would love to keep his handicap at 2 or even lower, his wants to make sure Riley has some fantastic opportunities in the game and that we continue to enjoy the game together. He particularly looks forward to teeing it up at some new golf courses and meeting new people along the way!

Riley Banks
Son (Riley) is your typical 12 year old lad. He enjoys playing most sports; although he has also developed a true love for the beautiful game of golf.
He started playing at the age of 4 years old when he started accompanying Dad to range sessions; he would have his own bucket of balls and just ‘whack away’…
Riley continued to enjoy the game and started joining fun group sessions at Carswell Golf Club (Oxfordshire) and had his first full set of clubs for Christmas in 2015. This is where the fun really started. Riley would join Dad on the course, playing half length holes at the club. Being on the course is where ‘Father Son Golf’ really started.
In 2017 Riley joined Wrag Barn Golf Cadets. This fantastic Junior setup was the perfect place for Riley to further increase his enjoyment in the game. He has added Frilford Heath GC as a second course which is an amazing venue with 3 superb golf courses and brilliant practice facilities.
Riley currently holds a Handicap Index (HI) of 9.8 and has earned a place on the Wiltshire u14 County Squad. He is excited to play in some new tournaments and will be entering a number of junior opens in 2021.
Riley’s greatest golf accomplishments came in 2020. He won his Club Cadet Championship before earning his place in the ‘big’ juniors. His best round off the Mens Championship tees (6622) is Gross 80 (+8) and has played the back 9 off the Men’s Yellows (3136) in Gross 37 (+1).
Riley would love to do something in golf, however his personal ambitions are his little secret.
